Monday
First day of work. Orientation was the same old, same old - lots of information about benefits. Found my desk, met the rest of my team. Felt certain that I'd made the right decision about which offer to accept. Locked myself out of my apartment, had a fight with the shower, went to the Bronx to go to Target. Crashed, decided my sheets felt like sandpaper.
Tuesday
Second day of work. Slowly started to get to know the accounts. Left work at a reasonable hour, which made me feel as though I was leaving early and slacking. Did laundry, relaxed.
Wednesday
Third day of work. First client meeting - they came to the agency. Stopped by the grocery store on the way home, picked up food for dinner. Spent the night bumming around the apartment and relaxing.
Thursday
Fourth day of work. Spent the day frantically helping another team that was in a crunch preparing for a client meeting. Left around 6:30, met Tim for drinks and dinner at a bar in Hell's Kitchen. Met up with two of Tim's friends, went to another bar, kept drinking. Headed for the train around 11. Complained about the disgustingly cold weather, nearly ate it on a patch of ice.
Friday
Working for the weekend. Happy hour is tentative, then I need to run a few errands before calling it a night. Taking it easy tonight.
Saturday
Heading to Hoboken for St Patrick's Day festivities during the daytime hours, then trekking back to the city for a brief nap. Then heading to Spanish Harlem for a friend's birthday celebration at his apartment.
